Haier Malaysia officially unveiled the Horizon Collection multi-door refrigerator lineup on Sept 3, 2026 at Sunway Pyramid in Subang Jaya.
Under the theme “Beyond What You See”, covering innovations categorized as Beyond Time, Beyond Space and Beyond Imagination, the brand-new lineup introduces premium multi-door refrigerators specifically tailored to address bulk storage demands and combat household food waste.
“Malaysian households are changing the way they shop and manage food, with many now stocking up for one to two weeks at a time and paying closer attention to reducing food waste,” said Haier Malaysia chief operating officer Patrick Seow.
“This is shaping what they expect from their appliances, especially around storage, organisation, freshness and design to stand out in the kitchen, and it’s why we’re introducing the Horizon Collection now,” added Seow.
Designed for modern bulk shopping, the series goes “Beyond Space” by offering a massive capacity of over 820 liters. According to Haier Malaysia, this is spacious enough to hold up to 38 grocery bags or seven large shopping carts.
The collection integrates advanced freshness systems, including AI features, HCS humidity control, and magnetic-controlled preservation tech, to prolong grocery shelf life and keep meat, fish, fruits and vegetables fresher for longer.
Haier’s “Beyond Time” design philosophy – part of their Horizon Collection – features the advanced Nutribank preservation technology designed to keep meat and fish fresh for up to 10 days without freezing while retaining over 95% of their protein content.
The Active Fresh Zone maintains up to 90% humidity levels while minimising condensation to keep fruits and vegetables fresh for up to seven days.
In addition, the ABT Pro built-in antibacterial system removes up to 99.99% of bacteria and neutralize unwanted odours in the storage environment.
The Smart Window and Welcome Light activate as users approach the refrigerator, creating a sophisticated “Beyond Imagination” visual experience, while the Auto Water Dispenser and Dual Ice Maker on selected models offer chilled water and two ice sizes, catering to different drink preferences right from home.
Alongside the refrigerators, Haier also launched its latest SpaceFit series of kitchen appliances, including the new Horizon Dishwasher Series (model HDWA18-686BK5MY), designed for smart home cleaning and seamless cabinet integration.
The SpaceFit series is designed to integrate smoothly into modern kitchen layouts alongside the Horizon refrigerator collection. The cooking range includes an ultra-thin range hood (325mm), a slim gas hob (40mm) with an upper intake, and a steam combi oven featuring a dual water box with separate circulation of fresh water and wastewater.
The new dishwasher provides a large 18-set plate setting specifically tailored to accommodate Asian dishware and large cookware. It uses a 60,000Pa inverter motor, 5D Dual-side Wash, and an 80°C Micro Steam Wash+ with UV sterilisation.
While AI Wash detects the level of dirt and automatically selects the appropriate wash cycle. The 240 Hours Smart Storage features auto-opening and closing doors, fresh air circulation, and UV sterilisation to keep dishes dry and odour-free.
“With the Horizon Collection, we wanted to look beyond simply creating more space and bring together technologies that preserve freshness, adapt to different household needs, and make everyday use more convenient,” said Seow.
“Ultimately, we want our appliances to work around the way people live today – whether that’s keeping groceries fresher for longer, making it easier to organise food, or simplifying the clean-up after a meal. This is what we mean by going ‘Beyond What You See.”
