Lotus’s Malaysia opens LRT-connected neighbourhood store at Datum Jelatek

Lotus’s Malaysia has opened its latest store at Datum Jelatek Shopping Centre, Kuala Lumpur on January 24, 2026.

The 2,000-square-meter neighborhood supermarket is strategically designed for the commuter lifestyle, located within Datum Jelatek Shopping Centre and directly connected to the Kelana Jaya Line’s Jelatek LRT station.

Designed with the Keramat-Jelatek catchment in mind, the store serves those who value convenience and accessibility.

With direct links to major highways such as the Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (AKLEH), Duta-Ulu Klang Expressway (DUKE), Sungai Besi-Ulu Klang Elevated Expressway (SUKE) and Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2) and seamless LRT access, Lotus’s Datum Jelatek offers a curated range of 12,000 stock-keeping units (SKUs), from fresh produce and Lo’Ti bakery to household essentials and electrical appliances.

Lotus’s Malaysia chief operations officer Neil Gurusamy said the store is designed to fit naturally into customers’ daily lives.

“Whether it’s a quick stop after work or shopping for the family, Lotus’s Datum Jelatek offers the right mix of affordability, choice and convenience for the neighborhood,” he said at the opening of Lotus’s 70th store.

To celebrate the opening, Lotus’s Datum Jelatek is having special promotions and member rewards for a limited period.

These include the One Day Deals for essential items like Siakap fish, eggs and cooking oil at special prices (starting from RM0.98 for watermelon) and discounts of up to 40% off on selected groceries, snacks, beverages, beauty and household electrical products, including whole chickens at RM5.88/kg and MAG Rapid Air Fryer 4.5L at RM80.88 per unit.

From Jan 24 to Feb 3, 2026, My Lotus’s members can earn3x loyalty points with a minimum spend of RM80.

Members who spend a minimum of RM120 in a single receipt can redeem the “Jimat! Lagi Jimat!” RM5 cash vouchers for their next purchase (Redeemable from Feb 5 – 18, 2026).

Meanwhile, in conjunction with the Chinese New Year, shoppers can participate in the ongong “Semuanya Ekstra Ongsem Belanja & Menang” contest to win a share of RM888,888 in cash and vouchers.

In line with its sustainability commitment, the launch reinforces Lotus’s partnership with Kechara Soup Kitchen under the #KitakanJiran initiative to redistribute surplus food to those in need within the community.
