Resorts World Genting has launched its “CNY in the Sky” Chinese New Year 2026 campaign, celebrating the festivity with time-honoured traditions, immersive storytelling and elevated festive experiences above the clouds.
At the centre of the celebration is the debut of the CNY 2026 brand film which sets the tone for the season through a festive narrative inspired by the spirit of the season.

Rooted in cultural traditions and seasonal moments, the brand film introduces Tian Ma as the Resorts World Genting (RWG) official mascot for CNY 2026 and the newest Genting’s Highland Heroes character.

As the Horse zodiac for 2026, Tian Ma symbolises progress, renewal and the spirit of moving forward, values deeply connected to the essence of the festivities.

Limited edition Tian Ma plush toys will be made available exclusively for Genting Rewards members through points redemptions and purchases.

The launch also marks a major milestone for RWG as the Genting SkyWorlds Immersive Studio has been recognized by the Malaysia Book of Records as the highest-altitude immersive attraction in Malaysia, reflecting the resort’s ongoing focus on immersive entertainment, creative storytelling and distinctive guest experiences set high above the clouds.

Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park visitors can experience the Chinese New Year-themed immersive video at the Immersive Studio, featuring stunning visuals, seasonal storytelling and festive showcases presented in high-altitude setting, from January 9 to March 3, 2026.

“With ‘CNY in the Sky’, we aim to celebrate these traditions in a way that feels meaningful and memorable while creating festive moments that bring families and loved ones together,” he said.
The film was developed by the award-winning agency Ampersand Advisory, led by its co-founder and chief executive officer Sandeep Joseph.
The team, including film director Chew Boon Wai, Aqina Group of Companies managing director Wesley Tan Seah Ging, Ampersand Advisory’s head of creative service Janice Kiew and creative director Claudia Low, brought together storytelling, visual craftsmanship and cultural nuance to create a festive narrative that resonates across generations.
