The festive season has arrived, and IOI Mall Damansara, Petaling Jaya is inviting Malaysians to experience a magical celebration of creativity, compassion and community through its enchanting “White Magical Christmas” campaign.

In collaboration with the Malaysian surrealist artist Kaiyi Wong (Unreality Kai), the mall has been transformed into a whimsical winter wonderland, offering an immersive art-inspired experience that captures the joy and spirit of the holidays.

From November 22, 2025 to January 4, 2026, visitors can look forward to a lineup of festive performances and family-friendly activities, including Christmas carol performances, dance shows and creative workshops for kids to craft their own Christmas ornaments.

IOI Mall Damansara assistant general manager Edmund Tan said this year’s Christmas campaign tagline of ‘A Christmas Tree, Built by Dreams,’ reflects the true spirit of giving and togetherness.

“We hope to inspire shoppers to share in the joy of giving and to make a difference in the lives of children in need,” he said at the media launch of White Magical Christmas at IOI Mall Damansara on Dec 2, 2025.

Children from four orphanage homes, accompanied by the home caretakers, were invited by IOI Mall Damansara to enjoy an early Christmas celebration filled with joy, gifts and meaningful moments. The mall’s management team also fulfilled all 101 wishes, ensuring every child received their dream gift this season.

Adding to the festive spirit, Santa Claus made an appearance, posing for photographs with guests and children.

Kaiyi Wong said people often forget how much they already have – a safe home, a full table, friends and family to share the season with. But not every child has that.

“Through Wishing Trees, I want people to pause and feel that contrast. Let this installation remind us to be contented, to be grateful, and above all, to give. Christmas is not just about receiving – it’s about lifting others,” he said.

At the heart of the celebration, Kaiyi built the four floating Christmas trees, adorned with 101 heartfelt wishes from children of Rumah Victory, Shelter Home, Pertubuhan Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak & OKU Selangor, and Trinity Community Children’s Home Society.

The event kicked off with Tan, together with Kaiyi brought the floating trees to life in a light-up ceremony, symbolizing the transformation of hopes and wishes into a dazzling reality.

Shoppers are invited to participate in the “Adopt a Wish” initiative, where they can choose a child’s wish from the Christmas tree and help make it come true.

A magical surprise awaits shoppers. “Unlock The Magical Surprise”, an interactive treasure hunt powered by the CLUB IOI app, where CLUB IOI members can explore festive installations and unlock exclusive surprises hidden around the mall. The participating tenants include Lio & Friends, Ticco, Ngam Ngam Neighbourhood, Mr Chizu and Montigo.

Shoppers are able to redeem special holiday-themed gifts with a tiered shoppers’ rewards programme. Shoppers who spend RM150 and above in a single receipt (Tier 1) will receive a Jolly horse charm or 1,000 Club IOI points.
