
Consumer electronics company Midea Malaysia achieved a major milestone in its retail presence with the simultaneous launch of 18 Midea brand stores across the country in a single day on Dec 3, 2025.
The nationwide launch comprised 15 new Midea brand stores, two new Midea Pro-Shops and one Kuala Lumpur showroom featuring a refreshed signboard.

This record-setting achievement is recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records for “Most Electrical Appliance Outlets Launching In An Event.”
The event underscores Midea’s accelerated expansion in Malaysia, transforming its physical retail footprint from zero to 18 stores in a single rollout.

The event featured a nationwide synced countdown, during which all 18 stores unveiled their storefront signboards at the exact same moment. The reveal was broadcast live across all locations including on Midea Malaysia’s Facebook page.
Midea Malaysia managing director Mark Tam said the expanded retail footprint enhances customer experience through increased accessibility, in-store product engagement and improved after-sales support.
“Launching 18 brand stores simultaneously is more than an expansion – it transforms how customers engage with Midea. With more touchpoints across the country, Malaysians can now experience our smart home solutions in person, consult directly with our specialists and access reliable after-sales support closer to home,” he said.

The expansion strengthens market presence with accelerated nationwide growth, expanding accessibility to Midea’s smart home solutions across Malaysia.
“This nationwide rollout reflects the strong momentum we’ve built over the past few years and positions Midea to compete even more effectively in Malaysia’s fast-growing home appliance market.”
“It also strengthens the trust and convenience we aim to deliver as Malaysia’s smart home partner of choice,” added Tam.

As part of the launch, Midea unveiled the Smart Master product series to the Malaysian market, giving attendees a first look at how the brand is elevating the connected home experience.
Smart Master represents a suite of intelligent technologies embedded across Midea’s appliance range, designed to understand, adjust and respond to user needs through AI and smart sensors.
“At the same time, we are proud to introduce the Smart Master series, which reflects our vision of bringing intelligent, user-centric technologies into everyday homes,” said Tam.
“By combining AI-powered features with our expanding retail footprint, we aim to deliver a more seamless, connected and convenient experience for all our customers,” added Tam.
Midea also showcased a wider range of its latest home innovation solutions, featuring the Avigator series, Insta-Fit Master series, Laundry Suite, L-Shaped Cooker Hood MCH-90XS38 (RFID), Built-In Gas Hob (MGH-2590GL (RFID), Robotic Vacuum Cleaner V12 and Bladeless Fan.
The nationwide expansion signals Midea’s dedication to offering an improved customer experience through modern retail spaces aligned with its new corporate identity, while strengthening product accessibility across more regions in Malaysia.
With the growing demand for connected living solutions, Midea aims to empower more households to adopt intelligent home technologies through both its expanding retail footprint and its new generation of AI-powered appliances.
Looking ahead to 2026, Midea is targeting a strong growth trajectory of approximately 20%, driven by the rising demand for energy-efficient and smart-home solutions in the local market. The brand will continue expanding and upgrading its Brand Store network, strengthening dealer partnerships and enhancing after-sales service.
To mark the grand launching, Midea is introducing several exclusive promotions throughout December, including Gift with Purchase (Dec 1 – 31, 2025) for customers who purchase selected Midea products; Spin & Win (Dec 3 – 10, 2025) for spending RM288 and above; and Spend & Win (Dec 3 – 31, 2025) for spending RM488 and above.
