The hospital was recognised as a global leader for health care quality of care and patient safety.
ParkCity Medical Centre (PMC) has been recognised and accredited by the independent, not-for-profit organization Joint Commission International (JCI) for its well-managed organization and commendable high quality of care and patient safety standards in the industry.
JCI accreditation and certification is recognised as a global leader for health care quality of care and patient safety. PMC now joins this elite group of 977 healthcare facilities worldwide that have achieved the JCI Accredited Standard and Gold Seal of Approval.
This year’s accreditation process of PMC, a hospital under healthcare company Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care (RSDH), was conducted virtually for the first time in Malaysia by the body due to the ongoing pandemic by a team of international healthcare experts.
PMC chief executive officer Ch’ng Lin Ling said the much-coveted JCI accreditation is the result of undergoing an exacting performance assessment and meeting a robust series of qualifications across the hospital that demonstrate sustainable improvement in the quality and safety of hospital processes and patient care delivery.
“The evaluation involved comprehensive inspection of our facilities, review of practices and procedures, and evidence of sustained compliance and improvement,” she said.
“With PMC’s accreditation, all six RSDH hospitals including Ara Damansara Medical Centre and Subang Jaya Medical Centre in Malaysia as well as three facilities in Indonesia have attained JCI accreditation.”
In addition to receiving the JCI accreditation, PMC was also honoured by Frost & Sullivan 2020 Best Practices Awards for 2020 Malaysia Emerging Hospital of the Year.
Ch’ng said the award is a measure of PMC’s exceptional healthcare services with innovative and effective clinical solutions, compassionate and safe care to their patients, good customer review and top-notch medical professionals.
She added, “Achieving both the JCI accreditation as well as the Frost and Sullivan Best Practices award in this unprecedented year are a reflection on the commitment and dedication of our doctors and employees at PMC. As a community hospital focusing on high quality, compassionate and safe patient care, these wins will keep PMC moving forward and continuing to aim higher as a world-class healthcare provider.”
