Pos Malaysia celebrates World Post Day 2025, launches Redly and special stamps

National post and parcel service provider Pos Malaysia Bhd joined millions across the globe in honouring the essential role of postal services in connecting people, businesses and communities.

The World Post Day event, officiated by Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil and held at Pusat Mel Nasional in Shah Alam on Oct 9, 2025, marked a dual celebration – the official launch of Redly Pos Malaysia International, the international logistics and e-commerce solutions arm of Pos Malaysia, and the unveiling of the World Post Day 2025 special stamps.

This year’s theme, “#Post for People: Local Services, Global Reach” pays tribute to the evolving role of postal services in connecting communities in a digital age.

During the ceremony, the Minister also presented appreciation certificates to four outstanding Pos Malaysia employees, recognising their dedication and exceptional contributions.

The event concluded with a guided tour of the Pusat Mel Nasional facility, giving guests an up-close look at the operations behind international inbound and outbound mail, as well as the manual and automated sorting systems that keep the postal service running smoothly.

Pos Malaysia chairman Tan Sri Syed Faisal Albar said, “This year’s theme for World Post Day perfectly captures what we at Pos Malaysia strive for every day – whether delivering letters in the kampung, parcels in the city, or enabling cross-border e-commerce, our mission has always been to serve the rakyatwhile remaining an integral part of the global postal network.

He added, “The launch of Redly, the testing of new business models, and our ongoing digitalisation and sustainability efforts all share one purpose: that is to ensure Pos Malaysia continues to fulfill our Amanah and serve the evolving needs of a modern Malaysia faithfully, sustainably, and innovatively, for generations to come.”

Pos Malaysia’s transformation journey started in 2021 and its efforts have delivered significant results. Next-day parcel delivery performance improved from 50% to over 90%, exceeding the industry average of 82%, while mail delivery performance now exceeds 93% on time delivery. Customer satisfaction has risen, with Net Promoter Scores (NPS) increasing from 32.0 to 97.0 for retail services and 56.7 to 76.9 for delivery services.

Pos Malaysia remains the only logistics provider operating two dedicated aircraft to Sabah and Sarawak, ensuring the fastest transit and earliest delivery in the market.

Pos Malaysia has implemented sustainable logistics and energy-efficient approaches to its operations. It operates Malaysia’s largest electric vehicle logistics fleet with more than 1,250 e-bikes and 264 e-vans, covering over 10.8 million kilometres emission-free.

17 facilities across the country are now powered by solar energy, contributing to nearly 7.5% of the company’s total energy mix and helping prevent over 2,900 tonnes of carbon emissions annually.

For years, international postal and courier services were offered under different names. Th launch of Redly consolidates these offerings under a single strong and clear brand with the promise, ‘From anywhere to everywhere’. This unified brand positions Pos Malaysia to better serve the global e-commerce and cross-border logistics market, while honouring the spirit of World Post Day’s theme.

The World Post Day 2025 special stamp collection celebrates the vital role of postal services, highlighting the post as a human-centred service that bridges communities, from bustling cities to remote villages in a world that’s increasingly digital.

The folder set features a RM1.30 stamp, a RM5.00 miniature sheet, a first day cover with stamp (RM1.80), a first day cover with miniature sheet (RM5.50) and a collector’s folder (RM6.00),

The set priced at RM44.30 is available from October 9, 2025 at 90 philatelic bureaus, 13 general post offices nationwide and online at shop.pos.com.my.
