Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre sweeps national and regional awards

The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre’s culinary and beverage teams celebrate their wins at Culinaire Malaysia 2025.

The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (the Centre) announced a string of major award wins this year that underscore its market leadership, operational excellence and world-class hospitality standards.

The Centre swept the awards for Malaysia’s Best Convention & Exhibition Centre 2025 from TTG Travel Awards; Best Convention Centre (Southeast Asia) from M&C Asia Stella Awards 2025 and Best Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Centre at the Tourism Industry Awards 2025.

It also received the Large-size Purpose-Built Convention & Exhibition Excellence Award at the Malaysia Business Events Awards (MBEA) 2025 and the National Energy Award 2025 for its energy stewardship and sustainability initiatives.

In addition to the list of achievements, the Centre’s culinary and beverage teams achieved outstanding success at Culinaire Malaysia 2025, taking home an exceptional medal haul of eight golds, 12 silvers and 21 bronzes. It also earned top honours as the Overall Champion (Professional) 2025, won the Most Outstanding Artist award, and secured the Professional Chef (Champion) in the Pizza category. These culinary victories underscore the skill, creativity and technical mastery of the Centre’s in-house teams.

Culinaire Malaysia is Asia’s most prestigious culinary competition and one of the region’s largest professional food and beverage events. Held biennially alongside Food & Hotel Malaysia (FHM), Culinaire Malaysia attracts chefs, artists and hospitality professionals from across Asia to compete in various categories that test creativity, technical skill and innovation.
