SERI KEMBANGAN – In total, about 300 widebody cars and non-wide modified cars were on showcase.
In conjunction with Visit Malaysia Year 2020, Galeri Kereta and Super Rocket in collaboration with Motonation, Asia GT Festival and Mines International Exhibition & Convention Centre (MIECC) organised The Showcase at MIECC in Seri Kembangan, near Kuala Lumpur on Feb 29 – Mar 1, 2020 which attracted close to 7,000 visitors over its two days.
In total, about 300 widebody cars and non-wide modified cars were on showcase.
With the theme ‘When all car modders meet’, the event included frenemies battle competition, car judging, hotwheels, raceroom e-gaming, test drive car, stance, Asia GT simulator tournament, launch of Estrada Pulzar racing team, talk session, vendors and merchandise, along with booths for accessories and car parts and food stalls.
Visitors were also treated to a thrilling drift demonstration performed by Westlake Team at the MIECC entrance.
The Showcase organisers Aulia Rahman Arsad of Galeri Kereta and Mohd Firdaus of Super Rocket thanked participants, visitors, crew on duty and everyone who helped make the event a success. It took them less than two months of planning to pull off the successful event with a modest budget.
They said the event not only brought together modified car enthusiasts from around the country but also potential economic impact on the automotive parts and accessories companies and tourism industries players, including hotel and homestay operators.
There were also lucky draws with lots of attractive prizes and giveaways worth RM20,000 to be won for the lucky visitors. List of prizes included sunroofs, car floor mats, car wrap packages, engine oils and souvenirs. The lucky draw sponsorship items were from Carroof Motorsports, Dodomat, Sapok Tembo, and Frontwheel Bastards, among others.
