Ha Bich Ngoc, a 34-year-old beauty from the city of Can Tho, Vietnam, has been crowned Mrs Celebrity International 2023, beating 18 other contestants from eight countries.
Ngoc also won the Mrs Popularity subsidiary title.
Organised by International Celebrity Pageant Group founder Lennard Tan, the contest final was held at Galaxy Banquet Hall, Sentul in Kuala Lumpur on September 1, 2023.
First runner-up went to Ny Dane (Cambodia), second runner-up Charlene Tang (Malaysia), third runner-up Su Mei Ju (Taiwan) and fourth runner-up Jessica Shen Xun Yan (China).
The other winners in the Mrs Classic category were first runner-up Tao Fang (Tawan), second runner-up Shima Shyna (Philippines), third runner-up Lim Chia Jung (Taiwan) and fourth runner-up Lee Ja Young (South Korea).
Renne Tang, who sat on the panel of judges for the pageant final, said of Ngoc, “She truly is the winner. She exudes a calm confidence in her walk, maintaining perfect posture. Ngoc stood out from other contestants with her impeccable sense of style.”
The Mrs Celebrity pageant was founded by Lennard Tan in 2019 and has taken place in Malaysia. This year, the Mrs Celebrity has returned with its first-ever international edition which saw participants from Cambodia, Vietnam, China, South Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Philippines and Malaysia.
Supported by Tourism Malaysia, Mrs Celebrity International aims to promote unity, acceptance and empowerment of women from across the globe.
“We are incredibly grateful for the positive response and unwavering support and dedication that played a significant role in making our first Mrs Celebrity International a remarkable success,” said Tan.
“This is a great honour for me. I was extremely emotional when my country was announced as the winner of Mrs Celebrity International 2023 in front of thousands of international audiences,” said Ngoc, after winning the Mrs Celebrity International 2023 crown.
She expressed her gratitude to all her supporters, specially to organiser Lennard Tan for his unwavering support during the entire competition.
“Thank you Mr Lennard Tan and International Celebrity Pageant Group for creating a prestigious and professional beauty pageant for us, so we ladies from around the world can shine and bring brilliant values to the community and society.”
Ngoc is currently working as an MC, but she also wears many hats – serving as model, instructor, editor and reporter of VTV5 Vietnam television station, in a fast paced, exciting environment.
The 1.72 metres (5’ 7.7”) tall beauty first began competing in pageant in 2012, where she reached the Top 10 finals. She was Miss U30 Vietnam 2020 and a runner-up in Miss Business GIobal Vietnam 2022.
“With my passion, experience and desire for personal development and cherished plans, I will use this title to honour beauty and convey a positive message to every woman, no matter what age they are and where they come from.
“At the same time, I will do my best promoting the brands – Mrs Celebrity International and International Celebrity Pageant Group which are increasingly popular in the beauty pageantry,” Ngoc said.
Asked what she liked most about the competition, Ngoc said the pageant itself is amazing and impressive.
“What impressed me most about the pageant was the enthusiasm and professionalism of the organizers of the International Celebrity Pageant Group. I really like the working style as well as the prestige that Mrs Celebrity International 2023 has, making me comfortable and confident in fully expressing my abilities and accomplish achievements beyond my expectations.
“My favourite moment was when I held hands with the Cambodian representative in the final two contestants while waiting for the announcement of the winner, and during that final moment I heard the audience cheering loudly “Vietnam! Vietnam!”, making me endlessly proud and emotional when I truly know how much my beautiful country is loved by the people.”
On her first time in Malaysia, Ngoc said, “This is my first trip to Kuala Lumpur. I find the Malaysian people friendly, hospitable and always warmly welcoming whether at the pageant, restaurants or street food. I enjoyed all the dishes I’ve tried here, there were all amazingly delicious and matching Vietnamese taste.
“The beautiful scenery surprised me. Modernity and civilization are seen everywhere in the city but the air is still fresh, very pleasant. Those things made me feel very comfortable despite the intense of the pageant.”
Ngoc enjoys hobbies such as reading books, going to the gym and teaching.
“I feel like I can be the best version of myself when I stand on the podium and teach. I am very happy to impart my knowledge as well as bring meaningful values to young people so that I can help to build a modern, civilized and compassionate Vietnamese generation.”
