Mister Potato has entered into a partnership with Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Malaysia (MPL MY) to bring the fun and excitement of the mobile game to its consumers.
The deal will see the potato chip brand become the official snacking partner for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Malaysia Season 12 (MPL MY S12).
Three Mobile Legends: Bang Bang characters, Beatrix the Marksman, Lancelot the Assassin and Martis the Fighter, will be featured on the packaging of Mister Potato’s products, including two limited-edition flavours, the Mister Potato Syok Wave Hot Chilli Squid and Mister Potato Sour Cream Onion.
This latest campaign themed “Alami Rasa Legendary” will run from August 14 to October 30, 2023.
Mamee-Double Decker chief marketing officer How Yuan Yi said the collaboration with Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is a strategic move that allows its brand to tap into a new captive and engaged audience and gain brand visibility in a competitive market through unique marketing campaigns.
“The e-sports industry has been rapidly growing over the years and this collaboration with the gaming world allows us to reach out to a different audience and the younger demographic while bringing something new and exciting to our existing consumers,” she added.
The MPL Malaysia Season 12 tournament is taking place at Dewan Sri Putra, Bukit Jalil in Kuala Lumpur from August 18 to October 8, 2023.
Mobile Legends gamers and fans who drop by the Mister Potato booth at the event will be able to win MLBB skins and Diamonds, and limited-edition Mister Potato x MPL MY S12 merchandise such as t-shirts, sports water bottles, pop sockets and bags with purchase of Mister Potato products.
They can enjoy more Mister Potato chips and also stand a chance to win more MLBB ‘Diamonds’ and skins, and other attractive prizes totalling RM60,000 with the Alami Rasa Legendarycontest which will run until October 30, 2023.
To enter the contest, consumers will need to purchase any Mister Potato product at participating retailers, including major supermarkets, hypermarkets, mini-markets, e-commerce, petrol marts and convenience stores nationwide.
Mister Potato is giving away two grand prizes of an iPhone 14 Pro and 5,000 MLBB ‘Diamonds and two second prizes of a Secretlab Gaming Chair and 3,000 MLBB Diamonds.
There are two third prizes of a Marshall Stanmore II Bluetooth Speaker and 2,000 MLBB Diamonds and two fourth prizes of an iPad (10th Generation) and 1,000 MLBB Diamonds. There are also 60 monthly consolation prizes of RM100 cash and a MLBB Epic character skin.
