Kedah Fashion Week (KFW) 2023 is making big plans for its return to Aman Central shopping mall in Alor Setar this August 4-6, 2023.
With the theme of “Big Bang”, the 6th edition of KFW promises to be a dazzling three-day fashion extravaganza that celebrates all things fashion in the northern region.
From modern minimalism, avant-garde flourishes and intricate traditional Kedah garments to quiet luxury and high-end jewellery, this fashion extravaganza will explore the northern region’s diverse fashion identity.
The event will feature runways with a lineup of local and international designers, fashion labels and lifestyle brands.
Be prepared to be awestruck as models grace the runway showcasing the latest clothing designs, trends and styles.
Grace Ho, director of Belleview Group, stated during the Kedah Fashion Week 2023’s exclusive sneak peek at Collab Store, Four Seasons Place, Kuala Lumpur: “Kedah Fashion Week has continually shattered the limits of creativity. Aman Central Mall is owned and operated by Penang-based property developer Belleview Group.
Participating designers in the event include two Kedahan Ikmal Mukmin of Gens Great Idea and Jeremy Lim of YT Label, Asyraf Arrif, Ezuwan Ismail, Anuar Faizal, Teddie Alrashed for Bleu Natar and Oscar Lee for Outdwell.
Other designers are ByTwoo, Daniel Zharif, Dee Roslan, Salleh Hamid, Amaze, Naemah Khuntum, Hasfitri Yusof, Wan & Mary, and the stylish duo of Seth & Luna.
Also participating are Kanapot Aunsorn from Thailand and the return of Yadanar from Myanmar.
There will also be a parade of the latest collections from Aman Central tenants such as Bonia, HLA, New Era, Tomei, Icahfa, D’yana, Elrah Exclusive, and LokalTeez.
Over 90 per cent of the models strutting down the runway will be locals, reflecting and celebrating their beauty and inherent talents.
“Fashion is inherently individualistic, serving as a form of self-expression. With this understanding, we strive to cater to every stylistic preference and taste, showcasing the creations of over 15 talented local and international designers,” said Belleview Group COO of retail and commercial, Lawrence Te’h.
Kedah Fashion Week has invited Raja Puan Muda of Kedah Che Puan Muda Zaheeda Mohamad Ariff to be the guest of honour of its upcoming edition.
Many celebrities like Aishah, Lah Ahmah and Ziana Zain will be making appearances at the show. Other esteemed personalities include Dr. Soo Wincci and Datin Winnie Loo.
The Kedah Fashion Week 2023 is organised by the Aman Central Mall in Alor Star, with the support of partners and sponsors, including Shoppes at Four Seasons Place, Collab Store, Frazel Heritage Hotel, Self Supply, Bonia, Tomei, Osim, New Era, D’yana, Elrah Exclusive, Yole, Royce’, Nando’s, HWC Coffee, and Lokalteez.
