Art of Speed Malaysia 2023 returns to MAEPS, Serdang July 29-30

Get ready to marvel at Malaysia’s premier “kustom & counter culture” event Art of Speed as it returns to Malaysia Agro Exposition Park, Serdang (MAEPS) from July 29 to 30, 10am – 7pm.

With the tagline “Raikan Beza Mu” or Celebrate Your Difference, Art of Speed 2023 will be bigger and better, with more halls and even more activities to satisfy fans and visitors.

This year’s event will cover 350,000 sq ft of indoor venue and 8.6 acre of outdoor venue, taking over all the event halls of the MAEPS.

The organization of Art of Speed Malaysia 2023 hopes to attract at least 100,000 visitors this year, with added Hall D with additional 80,000 sq ft of indoor space to the event.

Expect to see the best selection of modified cars and custom motorcycles, exotic and rare race cars, bike and car forum, live music, automotive flea market, vintage collectibles, mouth-watering selection of food vendors and food trucks, and more as well as the first-ever Miss Art of Speed 2023 pageant.

Commenting on the show, Asep Ahmad Iskandar, festival director at Art of Speed Malaysia (AOSM), said, “Since its inception, Art of Speed Malaysia has successfully established itself as a gathering not only for motorcycle and car enthusiasts, but also art-practitioners, musicians, collectors and the likes, while culminating in a large-scale annual event.

“For this year’s event, AOS 2023 will be celebrating its 12th annual show and with it, will be igniting the spirit and enthusiasm of passionate enthusiasts, and a show not to be missed by the public.”

For AOS 2023, local e-devices manufacturer Bro Asia will be the title presenter.

Bro Asia chief marketing officer Julian Choo said they are excited and eagerly looking forward to working together to achieve a successful AOS 2023.

The guest list from the international custom community and media includes Shige Suganuma, Emi Suganuma, “Sunny” Yano & Hiro “Wildman” Ishii from MOONEYES, Dino Dalle Carbonare and Alexander Iain from Speedhunters.com, Ya Seat and Bangkok Hot Rod Show and Ignite magazine from Thailand, Mow from Australia, Choppajoop and Cherry Bomb Pin-Up Parlour from Singapore, Hisa Artes 66 Paintlab, Fahmi Freeflow and Irvine Jasta from Indonesia, and Borneo Kustom Show from Brunei.

New highlights to look forward to in 2023 include the hosting of the Outdoor ThunderCircus “Brotherhood Rally”, featuring various motorcycles makes and brand communities gatherings and mega ride-in from motorcycle groups across Malaysia and the region. 

Also new to the 2023 event is the hosting of the first-ever Hot Wheels Collection Convention in South East Asia. Visitors will be able to enjoy even more Hot Wheels activities, including diorama displays (which include the Hot Wheels Rare and Collectibles Exhibition), Hot Wheels Skate School, Hot Wheels Swap Buy And Sell, Collector sharing sessions and Hot Wheels Custom Competition. Hot Wheels fans will also be able to meet and greet famous Hot Wheels designer Matt Gabe from USA.

To commemorate the 40th anniversary of Hot Wheels in Malaysia, Mattel is joining hands with Malaysia’s iconic national automotive brand, Proton to create the first ever Hot Wheels – Proton Saga vehicle.

Mattel will also be announcing the winner of the winning design of the Hot Wheels x Proton Kids Design Competition which closed on April this year. 

This year will also see the Hot Wheels Legends Tour Malaysia making its debut at AOS 2023, with the official Malaysia competition featuring both local and international judges to select a champion to represent Malaysia on the world stage.

In collaboration with VANS, the brand will feature limited-edition shoes and a special Art of Speed 10 years commemorative hard cover coffee table book for collectors. There will also be a mini skateboard and BMX park for all roller users.

There are also collaborations between AOS and other companies, including Hikari Riders (merchandise), IGL Coatings (coating), Mooneyes (t-shirts), NoEqual.co (race cars), Off The Grid (outdoor lifestyle product and services), Streetware Con (streetwear fashion), and many more.

The SoundCircus Festival returns for AOS 2023 and is presented by Harley-Davidson dan Bro Asia.

The 10 bands lined up for the stage on July 29, 2023 include Superman Is Dead from Bali Indonesia, No Good, Plague of Happiness, MC16, Skudap Skudip, Dum Dum Tak, Krusty, Restraint, Naratu, and Armpunk Sindicate.

Five local bands will be competing in a special segment for Harley-Davidson ‘Battle Of The Bands’ to win the prize to perform outside Malaysia for a festival organised by Harley-Davidson that will take place at the end of this year.

Indoor stage in Hall A will feature bands such as Dato Maw, Hip Hop Decontrol, Balan Kash, Arunboii, One Buck Short, Loko, Bayangan, Kapten Oi!, Dead Mushroom and Blues Gang.

At the end of the show, Art of Speed Malaysia will also be giving away a Honda e-DAX motorcycle to one lucky online ticket holder during the AOS2023 Online Lucky Draw.

AOS 2023 tickets can be bought on the gate and online via the official website www.artofspeedmy.com for RM35 for adults and entrance is free for children below 12 years old and OKU (disabled).

The Fastlane ticket, which opens one hour earlier at 9am, is priced at RM60 and valid for both days.
