SoundCircus Festival 2023 set to shake MAEPS, July 29

Asep Ahmad Iskandar (front row, second from left), founder and CEO of AOSM and SoundCircus, presented a press conference with the lineup of artistes who will be performing at SoundCircus Festival at MAEPS on July 29, 2023.

The SoundCircus Festival is returning to Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS) on July 29, 2023 featuring local and international artistes from punk rock and ska music genres.

The music festival is one of the main highlights during the two-day Art of Speed Malaysia 2023 (AOSM), a classic custom modified vehicles showcase and lifestyle exhibition, set to take place on July 29-30 at MAEPS.

Asep Ahmad Iskandar, founder and CEO of AOSM and SoundCircus said during the press conference: “Due to the overwhelming response during the standalone SoundCircus Weekender held at REXKL on March 4-5 this year that delighted over 2,000 music enthusiasts, we believe that the event should be held again this July at a larger venue, and also in-conjunction with the 12th anniversary of AOSM.”

To celebrate its 12-year establishment, AOSM, together with local e-devices manufacturer, BRO Asia, and legendary motorcycle brand, Harley-Davidson, will co-host SoundCircus Festival 2023.–

The SoundCircus Festival 2023 boasts an impressive line-up of artistes and bands. Confirmed acts include Superman Is Dead (Bali), No Good, Plague Of Happiness, MC16, Skudap Skudip, Dum Dum Tak, Krusty, Restraint, Naratu and Armpunk Sindicate.

Asep added: “One of the highlights during SoundCircus Festival 2023 this time, five local bands will be competing in a special segment for Harley-Davidson ‘Battle Of The Bands’ to win the prize to perform outside Malaysia for a festival organised by Harley-Davidson that will take place at the end of this year.”

Asep highlighted some of the major features of SoundCircus Festival 2023, including the new and improved audio-visual system and a special appearance by punk rock band Superman is Dead hailing from Bali, Indonesia that will perform a total of 16 songs.

“I hope that the visitors will be entertained by the performances and the atmosphere that we provide, and will keep supporting our music scene,” he added.

BRO Asia founder and CEO Roman Lai said, “BRO Asia is once again the official partner of SoundCircus Festival 2023, which shares the same vision as AOSM while at the same time being able to introduce our brand to visitors and fans of this music festival.”

Sajeev Rajasekharan, managing director – Asia Emerging Markets & India at Harley-Davidson Motor Company commented, “We are pleased to join this year’s SoundCircus Festival 2023 as a key sponsor and further strengthen our presence at Art Of Speed Malaysia.

“This festival has a strategic importance to us and acts as a key platform for our Harley-Davidson community and enthusiasts to come together, so we look forward to another successful outing this year with AOSM.”
