PETALING JAYA – Mutiara Damansara Commercial Centre (MDCC) comprising the Curve, eCurve and IPC Shopping Centre in Petaling Jaya will usher in 2015 with the first-ever Night Fun Run to be held on New Year’s Eve.

The runners for the 5km and 3.8km will be flag-off at 9.00pm and 9.10 pm respectively at the junction of Jalan PJU 7/5 and PJU 7/2 (in front of Ikea car park entrance and Mcdonald / KidZania).
All participants will receive a finisher’s medal after completing their run within the specified time. The top five finishers in the 5km categories will take home a special Finisher’s Trophy, entry tickets to KidZania and cash vouchers from Brooks Sports Wear.
Besides the friendly race, the street carnival activities starting from 6.00pm onwards will feature face-painting, stilt-walkers, jugglers, human statues, games, inflatable castles for kids and an open-air concert featuring performances from local artistes.
The Curve centre manager Jazmi Kamarudin said: “This is the first time our visitors will get to experience a street carnival and fun run on New Year’s Eve. This will definitely be not one to miss gathering here at MDCC.
“All of us are looking forward to welcoming the New Year with our best celebration yet.”
Emcees Shaz and Nigel Green will host the concert party from 8.30pm to midnight and will feature performances by electro-pop band Paperplane Pursuit, musician OJ Law, Anugerah Industri Muzik (AIM) Best New Artist nominees Kyoto Protocol, An Honest Mistake, The Big Band and Narmi.
Visitors can watch a dazzling fireworks lighting up the night sky at the stroke of midnight to welcome the New Year.
