British rock band Muse is set to perform in Kuala Lumpur on July 29, 2023 as part of its ‘Will of the People’ international tour.

Concert promoter Hello Universe announced the news at a press conference at Zepp Kuala Lumpur on Feb 22, 2023.

Hello Universe chief executive officer Adam Ashraf said Malaysia will be the only stop in Asia for the two-time Grammy award-winning rock band.

It is hoped that Muse’s exclusive presence on the ‘Will of the People’ tour in the country will help to raise Malaysia’s prestige in the eyes of the world.

The concert venue will be announced at a later date and would likely be an enormous outdoor venue that is expected to draw an estimated 50,000 fans, including from overseas.

Hello Universe will be hosting an upcoming band audition in which Muse themselves will select the local band that will perform as their opening act in Kuala Lumpur.

The last time Muse performed in Malaysia was about 16 years ago in 2007 at Stadium Negara, Kuala Lumpur.

The band consists of three members: Matthew Bellamy (lead vocalist, guitarist and pianist), Chris Wolstenholme (bassist and backing vocalist), and Dominic Howard (drummer).

Presale tickets for Muse’s concert in Kuala Lumpur will go on sale on March 2 at 10am via Ticket2U, while general sale is on March 3 at 10.30 am.

Tickets are priced at RM950 (Zone A), RM550 (Zone B) and RM350 (Zone C).
