The BYD Atto 3 electric vehicle (EV) for the passenger car market has seen overwhelming interest by consumers, with more than 1,000 orders placed in the first two weeks following its recent launch in Malaysia by official distributor Sime Darby Motors.

Sime Darby Motors Malaysia retail and distribution managing director Jeffrey Gan said the positive response was highly encouraging with interest from across consumer segments.

“This indeed demonstrates that Malaysians are ready for the future of mobility and are confident in the BYD brand and high-performance vehicles. With the growing demand for EVs in the nation, the BYD Atto 3 is ideal to support more environmentally-conscious lifestyles while providing an unparalleled electric driving experience,” he said.

With three additional showrooms slated to open by mid-2023 in Ara Damansara, Penang and Johor, we look forward to enhancing accessibility to our world-class BYD vehicles across the country.”
