The winner of the 2022 edition of Miss CosmoWorld Pageant will receive USD100,000 in cash, the highest grand prize cash winning ever.
Speaking at the media launch of the 2022 edition of Miss CosmoWorld at Garden ballroom of Parkroyal Collection Kuala Lumpur on Sept 23, Carrie Lee, the founder and organizer of Miss CosmoWorld said the 2022 edition will carry the highest grand prize cash winning ever, with the winner walking away with USD100,000 to enable her to start her own business.
“There are many beautiful ladies out there but how many of them would train their brains to fully utilize their winning money to do something even greater for themselves and the people around them?
“Let us share to the world this message and help fulfil a young lady’s chance to pursue her dream and goal,” she said.
Carrie continued, “Miss CosmoWorld is the only beauty pageant in the world that funds a young lady with USD100,000 in cash to start a business of her choice.
“This pageant is created and nurtured from within our own country Malaysia and hence we are giving this opportunity to ladies with brains and knowledge to pursue their dreams and goals and to do whatever they dream of.”
Present at the launch were Tan Sri M. Kayveas, Miss CosmoWorld adviser Dato Sri Chong Chin Fung, international image brand builder CT Chin, Miss Malaysia Kebaya Organization president Jason Hee, RSIS Management founder Summer Lau, Dato Sri Danny Choo and Dato Dr Jackson, among others.
Several beauty queens of past and present title holders of various beauty pageants, including Miss CosmoWorld, added glamour at the event.
The Malaysian home-grown Miss CosmoWorld international pageant seeks to promote the independence of women with beauty, and to spread love and care to the world.
Carrie said a total of over 30 interviews were conducted during the first audition held at Parkroyal Collection on September 17. A second audition will be held at the same venue on October 15.
The event also saw the signing of Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between Miss CosmoWorld and Goddess of Nature Malaysia & Miss Malaysia Kebaya for the participation in Miss CosmoWorld Malaysia 2022.
The top three winners of Goddess of Nature 2022 and Miss Malaysia Kebaya 2022 are automatically qualified and invited to participate in Miss CosmoWorld Malaysia 2022 pageant.
The Miss CosmoWorld 2022 pageant is expecting participants from some 30 countries.
In addition to the USD100,000 cash prize, the top three winners also get to go home with a number of prizes from sponsors and partners, including a return trip to Europe.
Pageant week will start from November 17 with contestants participating in various pageant-related programmes and activities, which include promoting good health with beauty, sports, and social responsibility for charity, leading up to the grand finale at St Regis Hotel, Kuala Lumpur on November 30, 2022.
