Unstop Music Festival to debut with 12 international acts at The Landing @ KL Base on Feb 8, 2025

Big thumbs up to Unstop Music Festival which was officially launched at Restoran Fathimaa Cheras in Warisan Cityview, Kuala Lumpur on Jan 22, 2025.

An inaugural music festival, known as Unstop Music Festival (UMF), will be happening at The Landing @ KL Base in Sungei Besi, Kuala Lumpur on Feb 8, 2025.

Organised by MXE Entertainment, the festival aims to bring together global electronic dance music stars to the heart of Malaysia, captivating music lovers with twelve unstoppable international acts, in a single day extravaganza that is expected to raise the roof in 2025.

“All of the international acts that will be featured in Unstop have never performed in Malaysia before. It will be their debut and it should be an incredible treat for dance fans nationwide and also regionally,” said stage manager Georgia at a press conference to officially launch the Unstop Music Festival, held at Restoran Fathimaa Cheras in Warisan Cityview, Kuala Lumpur on Jan 22, 2025.

He went on to say, “We wanted to do something out of the ordinary with Unstop. We always aim to be different as it is very important to us as festival organisers. We always want to curate the best line-up and offer our dance music fans the best with as many genres as we can.

“We are proud to be able to present so many different international electronic dance artistes in a single day as no other organisers are doing it. We have so many surprises to show during the festival, and the only way for you to know what it will be is to come to the show.”

George further emphasized, “Unstop isn’t’ just a music festival – it’s a celebration of unstoppable energy, where the beats never stop, and the vibes are unmatched. Whether you’re for the music, the atmosphere or the adventure, Unstop promises a journey you’ll never forget. Unstop aims to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary, and let the music move you like never before.”

The details of the UMF inaugural edition, including the complete lineup of acts were revealed by the festival organiser during the hour-long session press conference.

The rain or shine open-air festival will begin from 3.00 pm and will end at 1.30 am. The festival is open to visitors who are ages 18 and above.

“We are happy to say that we are not doing a recycled show. We also want to change the culture of festival goers by presenting these top acts right from the start, unlike other events which showcase their headliners towards the end. We want EDM fans to come early and enjoy the whole show,” said festival director Benny Khiew.

“We are also presenting for the very first time an experienced and legendary international emcee from The Netherlands who will be hosting the show. He will hype up the crowd and give a different feel to the festival,” added Khiew.

Headliners to the festival include Stan Christ, a Dutch producer-deejay in the hard techno scene who has been producing electronic music actively since 2013, and Dutch producer-deejay Act of Rage (Jacques Journee) who has been dominating the scene non-stop since 2014. He has been known to give partygoers the ultimate experience: from singalong vocals, to raging drops and quick mixes.

Other major stars who will the line-up include Australian rawstyle deejayproducer Animosity from Sydney, Belgian producer-deejay Byorn from Antwerp, the mysterious Dutch  hardcore deejay-producer D-Fence, Australian deejay Dvrgnt from Sydney, Dutch hardstyle duo Primeshock (Bart Peters & Thijs Verdegaal), Dutch emcee & hardstyle vocalist MC DL, dynamic Dutch hard techno deejay-producer Jayron, and Swedish hardstyle deejay-producer Wasted Penguinz (Pontuz Bergman).

Regional acts include raw and hardstyle deejay Cyndi from Taiwan, hardstyle deejay-producer and founder of Hardstyle Taiwan Pie Star, Australian hard dance deejay Ph4ntam from Melbourne and homegrown deejay Ruzz from Kuala Lumpur.

A treasure hunt will be held inside the festival grounds on the day itself, where the treasure will be placed around the festival grounds 

Facilities at the festival include F&B booths, food trucks, portable toilets and a mosque in the vicinity for those who wish to fulfil their religious obligations.

The music festival venue will have parking available for a rate of RM10 per car and free for motorcycles.

Limited General Admission (GA) Phase 1 tickets are available at RM148 each, and at RM188 each during Phase 2, while limited VIP Phase 1 tickets are at RM188, and at RM238 during Phase 2.

The organisers have assured festival-goers that every effort will be made to ensure their safety during the festival so that they can enjoy the festival in a fun and safe way.

The organisers’ security team, RELA and police will be stationed throughout the event to maintain order and to ensure no untoward incidents occur.
