Tropicana Foundation, the charity arm of Tropicana Corporation Berhad, has extended a helping hand to Rumah Charis Shah Alam in Taman Sri Muda.
The charitable event saw more than 200 packs of dry goods from cooking oil, rice and canned goods to milk powder, and essentials such as medical masks delivered to the home for the elderly ahead of the Chinese New Year festive season.
Tropicana group executive director Jared Ethan Ang said the initiative was undertaken in line with the Tropicana Foundation’s aim to improve the lives of Malaysians in need while addressing impacts from social and environmental issues.
“Our visit to Rumah Charis underscores the Tropicana Foundation’s commitment to uplifting the underprivileged. With recent flood events, we hope that we can help spread cheer when needed most, as we redefine the art of caring in all we do,” he said.
As part of its mission, Tropicana has contributed over RM4.5 million to charitable causes in 2021, from food bank, health and education programmes to recycling efforts.
