Tropicana Golf & Country Resort, a subsidiary of Tropicana Corp Bhd, recently bagged the Clean Food Premises Award organized by Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya (MBPJ).

Graced by Petaling Jaya Mayor Mohamad Azhan Md Amir, the accolade recognises eateries that fulfil MBPJ’s criteria for an “A” mark for cleanliness.

Tropicana project executive director Allan Wong said the recognition is a testament to Tropicana Golf & Country Resort’s continuing focus on redefining the art of living.

“As our pioneering resort-themed development, Tropicana Golf & Country Resort constantly strives for the highest standards in quality, service and more.

“We are honoured by MBPJ’s recognition of the team’s efforts, and hope that the Clean Food Premises Award as a platform can continue to inspire the industry to ever-greater heights.

“I would like to extend our deepest thanks and appreciation to the team for all their hard work and commitment, without which none of this would be possible,” Wong said.

Tropicana was recognized in the hotel/clubhouse category, introduced by MBPJ in 2022. In total, 111 premises, including cafes, bakeries, hotels and food courts, were shortlisted for evaluation this year, with 84 selected for recognition following panel judging. Tropicana Golf & Country Resort received a score of 87, out of an average of 78.4 for selected premises.
