Green Building Index (GBI) is Malaysia’s first comprehensive rating system in assessing the environmentally friendly elements of a building, community or factory in design and operation.
Introduced in January 2009, the green rating tool was designed for the Malaysian tropical climate taking into account environmental concerns, and the country’s social, cultural and developmental contexts.
