In conjunction with the Raya festive season, Tropicana Foundation, the charity arm of property developer Tropicana Corp Bhd, brought festive cheer to nine charity homes and orphanages across Klang Valley and Selangor.
The charity drive initiative, held from April 17-19, 2023, saw 300 packs of the savoury porridge sponsored by Capri by Fraser, Bukit Bintang, being delivered to the homes ahead of the Raya celebrations, besides essential items such as towels and toothbrushes.
“With Raya as a time for appreciation, renewal and reunion, we are pleased to join hands to give back to the community through this charitable endeavour.
“We donated packets of bubur lambuk, with the festive traditional treat prepared and packed by Capri by Fraser, Bukit Bintang, along with duit raya and sundries to support the homes in their daily needs,” said Tropicana group executive director Jared Ang.
Capri by Fraser, Bukit Bintang general manager Michael Lee said when they heard about the bubur lambuk drive, they were keen to support Tropicana in giving back to underprivileged community during the festive period.
“We’re happy to be part of this initiative, aligned as it is with our #EnrichingLives focus, and look forward to similar opportunities in the future,” he said.
