Tropicana Corporation Berhad announced it has bagged a total of nine awards – four awards at the StarProperty Awards 2021 and five awards at the Asia Pacific Property Awards 2021 (APPA).
In a statement, the property developer said it had doubled its haul at the StarProperty Awards 2021 compared to a year ago, winning four significant accolades, and also took home five Asia Pacific Property Awards 2021.
Tropicana managing director (marketing and sales) Joanne Lee said the group is honoured to receive the prestigious awards.
“This year marked Tropicana’s fifth consecutive year of winning the StarProperty All-Stars Award and our 12th victorious year at the Asia Pacific Property Awards. Apart from the coveted All-Stars Award, honouring the best developer in Malaysia, Tropicana also secured three other awards in the categories of the Distinctive Build Award for Tropicana Miyu in Petaling Jaya, the Holiday Home Award for Tropicana Grandhill in Genting Highlands, and the Poseidon Award for Tropicana Cenang in Langkawi.
The StarProperty Awards honours the best in the Malaysian property sector. The awards are chosen by a panel of judges from varied disciplines and different backgrounds to ensure a fairer and comprehensive auditing system. They comprised architects, surveyors, designers, town planners, property consultants and industry experts.
The five Asia Pacific Property Awards won included Best Residential High Rise Development Malaysia for Tropicana Gardens integrated development at Tropicana Indah, Best Apartment / Condominium Malaysia for Tropicana Miyu in Petaling Jaya, Mixed Use Development Malaysia for Tropicana Grandhill at Genting Highlands, Leisure Development Malaysia for Tropicana Cenang at Langkawi and Developer Website Malaysia for Tropicana’s new revamped website www.tropicanacorp.com.my.

The Asia Pacific Property Awards celebrate the highest levels of achievement in the architecture, interior design, real estate, and property development sectors in the region.
The judging panel of the Asia Pacific Property Awards was made up of more than 100 industry experts such as Bill McClintock, the Guild of Property Professional UK chairman; Annie Hampson, former chief planning officer at City of London; and Lord Best, the UK House of Lords Communications Committee chair.
Developers from Singapore, China, Australia, India, Vietnam and Thailand also participated in the contest. All entries were meticulously adjudicated from their design, quality, service, innovation, originality and commitment to sustainability.
