Tropicana Aman hosted a Chinese New Year celebration for 35 underprivileged children from Ti-Ratana Welfare Society Malaysia held at the grounds of Tropicana Aman property gallery, Kota Kemuning in Shah Alam.
The charity event saw the children enjoyed a day of fun and treats such as chocolates and snacks, in the spirit of the festive season.
Over 200 care packs comprising essentials and dry goods were donated to Ti-Ratana. These included face masks, toothpaste, toothbrushes and body wash were for safeguarding the health and well-being of the community.
The initiative coincided with Chinese New Year celebrations in Tropicana property galleries across Malaysia from Feb 11 to 13, 2022, with exciting activities such as lion dance performances, colouring contest, calligraphy drawing and lucky draws.
Tropicana marketing and sales executive director Krishnamoorthy K said Tropicana’s philanthropic efforts to support the community are part of its mission to engage and uplift underprivileged demographics across Malaysia.
“We have hosted many community engagement events throughout the years – from Hari Raya, Merdeka to Christmas celebrations. This CNY, we want to continue to spread joy and festive cheers to the children of Ti-Ratana. This is in line with Tropicana Foundation’s core mission, Redefining the Art of Sharing,” he said.
The 863-acre Tropicana Aman township is developed by Tropicana Corporation Berhad. Tropicana Aman itself is designed as a walking and biking community, anchored by a serene 85-acre Central Park. Offering 17 beautiful pavilions surrounding a central lake with 10 link bridges, the park beckons residents and visitors with ample recreational spaces and greenery.
