TOP is contributing RM424,000 worth of detergent care packs to several vaccine administration centres (PPVs), social intervention centres and vaccine recipients.
The top detergent brand in Malaysia is donating 17,000 Advanced Micro-Clean Tech detergent care packs to MoH Covid-19 patient-facing frontliners, vaccinators from 17 vaccine administration centres (PPVs) runned by KPJ Healthcare Bhd and frontline staff at six Anjung Singgah social intervention centres for the homeless.
The TOP Advanced Micro-Clean Tech anti-virus detergent care pack will provide laundry for a family of four for more than a month.
In addition, another 96,000 TOP detergent packs will be distributed to vaccinated folk, including 6,000 packs earmarked for teenagers who will be receiving their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
Health minister Khairy Jamaluddin commended the timely contribution made by Southern Lion in an effort to uplift the spirits and support for those affected in the fight against the challenging Covid-19 situation in the country; and to motivate more people for vaccination.
“The success of vaccination especially in the Klang Valley has resulted in a decrease of critical patient capacity in hospitals here, reducing the stress on health workers. All of us will need to form new mindful habits and practices to learn to live with the Covid-19 virus,” he said.
Southern Lion Sdn Bhd managing director Kazuo Mabuchi said the company recognized the efforts and sacrifices of frontline workers battling the pandemic.
“We recognize the sacrifice and courage of frontline personnel with this gift of appreciation. We worked with KPJ Healthcare for distribution of TOP powder detergent care packs to those who get vaccinated. It is a positive way to reward people for doing the right thing to protect self and others safe,” said Mabuchi.
He said the company will also be working with the Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV) to appreciate 12 to 17-year-olds who receive their vaccination.

Each of us can play an important part by taking necessary steps such as getting vaccinated and the booster dose, double masking, sanitizing hands and washing our clothes with TOP detergent that is proven to remove the Covid-19 virus,” added Mabuchi”.
