
Tony Roma’s Malaysia has reignited excitement with the comeback of its Legacy Rib Challenge: a special one-day rib-eating competition held at Tony Roma’s IOI City Mall, Putrajaya on Nov 16, 2025.
The event brought rib enthusiasts together to relive the excitement and nostalgia of the brand’s iconic eating challenge, celebrating Tony Roma’s heritage of serving hearty, mouth-watering ribs.

The campaign pays homage to Tony Roma’s reputation as the home of world-famous ribs while also introduced new premium dishes with a festive twist to the brand’s signature flavours.

“At Tony Roma’s, we have always believed in celebrating life’s moments, big or small, with great food and the people we love,” said Revenue Valley Sdn Bhd group chief executive officer Shaik Ali Fikri Bajunid.
“The return of the Legacy Rib Challenge and our new limited time menu are all about bringing that joy and excitement back to our diners.
“It is a nod to our heritage and a reminder that Tony Roma’s remains the go to place for ribs that truly satisfy,” he added.
Also in attendance at the event was Revenue Valley Group brand general manager Hanif Rahman.
First introduced years ago as a fan favourite event, the Legacy Rib Challenge at Putrajaya saw contestants faced off in a fierce battle to claim the championship title and cash prizes.

Hilman Adrees Khairul Annuar who was crowned the male champion after devouring eight beef ribs, one lamb rib, mashed potatoes and a Kickin’ Shrimp in 14:08 minutes.
He said it was his first time joining the Rib Challenge and did not know what to expect.
“I just came because I love good ribs. But once it started, the cheers and the whole atmosphere really pulled me in. Now I understand why people say Tony Roma’s ribs are legendary.”
Hilman’s impressive appetite earned him RM2,000 cash and a one-year supply of Tony Roma’s ribs.

Meanwhile, Nurathira Hakim Boey, the female champion said she was really happy to join the competition and being crowned the champion was such an exciting moment.
“Tony Roma’s ribs have always been my favourite, and today’s event really brings back the fun and nostalgia that make the brand so special. I’m looking forward to bringing my family and friends back to enjoy the ribs again,” she said.
The new exclusive limited-time menu features a range of hearty platters, sizzling favourites and indulgent pastas curated specially for couples, families and rib lovers to share and savour.
The Time for Tony Roma’s campaign runs from Nov 10, 2025 until Jan 7, 2026 across all Tony Roma’s outlets.
