The best looks at International Ipoh Fashion Week 2022

Ipoh’s grandest and glamourous fashion extravaganza, the International Ipoh Fashion Week (IIFW) 2022 held on Oct 20-23 featured new inspirations that showed off the creativity and vitality of the fashion world.

Over the four days of the event, local and international designers light up the night with a series of runways displaying their awe-inspiring outfits and collections.

The event gives back while showcasing talented designers, mini fashion expo by Indonesian designers and fashion symposium.

The 2022 IIFW’s Fashion With a Heart charity gala dinner held at the Hotel Casuarina @ Meru on October 21 has raised over RM160,000 with the proceeds supporting a good cause.

Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun, Ipoh received contribution of RM104,883.96 for its paediatric intensive care unit, while Perak Foodbank, an NGO which champions sustainability and climate change, received RM60,500.

The gala evening was graced by the Raja Permaisuri of Perak Tuanku Zara Salim and other members of the Perak royal families.

Participating designers, labels and brands at the IIFW 2022 included Amanda Brown, Asti Atmodjo, Batik Chic, Kenny Loh Couture, Martini-G, Nazha Exclusive, SRG, alongside ByMEKKA Collection, Fadhila, HSDO, NZ Craft, Sania Amirah and Yuna Batik.

Student designers from UiTM Seri Iskandar and Kolej Komuniti Batu Gajah also have their creations walked the runway.

The outdoor street runway show was held at Jalan Bandar Timah in Ipoh Old Town on Oct 22, while the closing fashion showcase was held in an outdoor location at Ipoh’s town square Dataran MBI on Oct 23.

The International Ipoh Fashion Week 2022 is supported and endorsed by the Perak state government, Tourism Perak, Majlis Bandaraya Ipoh (MBI), Tourism Malaysia and other state agencies.
