In a statement, DITP Malaysia, a Malaysia promotional relations campaign from Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce, Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), said its participation in MIHAS 2022 will help Thailand thrives on halal trade to contribute to the global halal Industry.

“We as DITP Malaysia representing Thailand, are proud to present you our ‘Thailand Pavilion’ in 18th Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS 2022). We have brought 40 brands of Halal Thai products, both from food and non-food sectors for expanding your business and networking opportunities,” the statement read.

MIHAS is a robust marketplace for both international and local players to seize business opportunities.

The Thailand Pavilion showcased more than 40 brands of Thai halal products from food and non-food sectors.  They include modest fashion, arts and crafts, health and beauty, gifts and home decor items.

This is the first year that Thailand brought non-food halal items to be exhibited in MIHAS.

“The crowd applauded when our models dressed in the latest designer fashion brands took to the catwalk. The brands at the showcase include Mirah, SHU, Siri Dress House, SC Grand: Circular, De Quarr Community and Gemio.

“Visitors not only experience exciting activities such as product presentation and auction (for merit purposes), live cooking shows by Thai celebrity chef Chef Tosapol from Bangkok, and food tasting, but also explore business opportunities within our Thailand Pavilion,” said the statement.

“Subsequently, we expect that the participation in this event will help in increasing the image of Thai halal products not only in Malaysia, but also in the global market as well as boosting the demand to import these potential products from Thailand in the near future,” it added.
