STM Lottery Sdn Bhd, (formerly known as Sports Toto Malaysia), has announced its 37th Sports Toto Chinese New Year ang pow donation campaign from Jan 18 to 23, 2024.
The charitable campaign, initiated in 1988, is aimed at benefitting needy senior citizens aged 60 and above in 50 cities and towns nationwide.
The campaign launch on Jan 18 will be held at the Boulevard, in front of the main entrance of Berjaya Times Square, Kuala Lumpur.
STM Lottery communications and sustainability deputy general manager Giam Say Khoon said every qualified senior citizen would receive a mini hamper and a red packet.
“Recipients are required to bring along their identity card for age verification. We advise them to come to Berjaya Times Square before 9am as distribution of items will be on a first-come, first-served basis from 9am until 10.30am,” he said.
“Representatives of recipients will not be allowed to collect items on their behalf,” he added.
The campaign started in 1988 as an integral part of the Helping Hands programme which is a CSR and sustainability initiative by STM Lottery. It has to date contributed more than RM24.3 million, benefitting over 437,000 needy senior citizens nationwide.
