Skechers, a global leader in lifestyle and performance footwear, hosted the eighth edition of the Skechers Friendship Walk at the Oval Lawn, Setia City Convention Centre, Setia Alam in Shah Alam on Sept 7, 2025.
The event brought together over 8,000 participants and enjoyed a day filled with friendship, fitness, fun and meaningful impact.
From the leisurely 5km Walk to the more challenging 10km Run, runners of all ages were in high spirits as they raced toward the finish line.
Adding to the excitement, the Walk also featured appearances by local celebrities and athletes, including Jaclyn Victor, Chan Peng Soon and Indra Putra who were seen wearing their Skechers Friendship Walk t-shirts and the latest Skechers GOwalk 8 and Skechers SKX AERO shoes.
More than just a celebration of fitness, the Walk also made a difference in the community with a donation of RM10,000 to the National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM) – an NGOthat provides educational, care and support services for individuals impacted by cancer and the wider community.
The excitement extended beyond the run and walk, with participants having fun enjoyed a variety of activities and entertainment, including a brass band, a zumba performance and game stations.
Guests enjoyed striking poses at the Skechers finisher’s name wall and visited the Skechers booth to experience the latest Skechers apparel and footwear collection firsthand.
The 10km men’s and women’s champions took home cash prize up to RM1,000 and Skechers cash vouchers each, while the 4th to 10th place winners also received a Skechers prize bundle each, including a pair of Skechers AERO running shoes.
The lucky draw grand prize winner received a one-year free supply of Skechers footwear worth RM6,000.
Key sponsors which contributed to the success of the event included VitaHealth and Greens (lucky draw sponsors), Pavilion Damansara Heights (venue sponsor) while the goodie bag sponsors were V-Soy, Hai-O, Red Bull, Munchy’s, Beaute Library and Himalaya Vajomba.
Other sponsors were Listerine, Lotus’s, OSIM, Plan B Physiotherapy and Polar Ice Cream.
