Shantea Dessert opened its first outlet at Mid Valley Megamall in Kuala Lumpur, introducing a modern twist on beloved local ingredients, blending tradition and modern indulgence in every bite.

Just in time for the lead-up to Visit Malaysia 2026, the brand reimagines local ingredients into contemporary treats, offering a delicious introduction to Malaysian culture for both locals and international visitors.

Teresa Kok highlights the importance of initiatives like Shantea Dessert in introducing Malaysian flavours to international visitors.

“Malaysia’s culinary heritage is one of our greatest treasures and initiatives like Shantea Dessert help showcase it to the world in new and exciting ways,” said Seputeh MP Teresa Kok who officiated the event. “With Visit Malaysia 2026 just around the corner, this concept plays an important role in introducing our rich flavors to tourists who may be discovering them for the first time.”

The Mid Valley outlet is the first of three planned stores, with nationwide expansion and future regional ventures in the pipeline.
