TGV Pictures has announced that South Korean boy band Seventeen’s first-ever movie ‘Seventeen Power of Love: The Movie’ is set for release on Malaysian screens this April 20, 2022.
Carats (the name for Seventeen’s fans) can anticipate the heart-warming and eye-opening journey of the 13-member by group behind the music.
The 13 members are S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon and Din.
On Seventeen’s official social media accounts, they have described this as “a movie letter from Seventeen to Carat.”
The movie will feature in-depth interviews with all 13 members of the group, as well as some behind-the-scenes footage and some never-seen-before footage of their performances from ‘Rock with You’.
It will also include scenes from their online concert “Power of Love” held in November last year.
Why are they called Seventeen despite the group actually consists of thirteen members?
The number ‘Seventeen’ is the sum of 13 members, the three sub-groups they break into (hip-hop unit, performance unit and vocal unit) and the one team they form when they all come together.
The group debuted its first EP “17 Carat” in 2015 and is best known for hits such as “Adore U” (2015), “Don’t Wanna Cry” (2017) and “Ready to Love” (2021). Seen by many as the next BTS, their global popularity has grown immensely over the last two years.
