Twenty-five senior citizens and their caretakers from Rumah Charis in Kuala Lumpur were transported from their home and feted to a delicious meal, entertained with a musical performance and showered with gifts for Chinese New Year at the Curve shopping mall on 18 January 2019.

An acrobatic lion dance roared through the mall’s centre court with daring stunts, bringing about the festive mood.

“An important aspect of Chinese New Year is paying respect to the elderly and also giving back to the community. With this in mind, we invited the senior citizens from Rumah Charis for an early festive celebration which has been a yearly tradition for us at the Curve. We hope that this has been an enjoyable experience for them as much as it was for us,” said The Curve senior general manager Jazmi Kamarudin.

As the fun-filled afternoon came to an end, the senior citizens received Chinese New Year angpow and goodies from their host and were treated to a sumptuous lunch at Ah Tuan Ee’s Place restaurant.
