Resorts World Genting (RWG) reaches a milestone this year as it celebrates six decades of success as a premier integrated resort.

To mark the beginning of this milestone year, Resorts World Genting will host ‘Chinese New Year in the Sky’, a grand festival-style lineup of celebrations from Jan 10 to Feb 16, 2025, offering the chance to win a share of RM1.8 million worth of prizes through an array of activities.

Countdown to CNY 2025
The Chinese New Year eve countdown celebration at Arena of Stars on Jan 28, 2025 will start from 6pm to 1am. Enjoy a lineup of exciting performances, including dance shows, meet and greets, lively mashup by DJ Von and MC Silent, Chinese orchestra, Chinese New Year parade and kung-fu demonstrations.
Auspicious Grab & Win
From Jan 29 to Feb 16, 2025 visitors spending RM60 or senior citizens 60 years of age and above, can participate in the Wind Chamber to win grab as many “lucky slips” as they can within 15 seconds to win luxury prizes, including cruise packages, luxury hotel stays, exclusive Chinese New Year merchandise, F&B vouchers and gold coins.
Golden Hour Grab & Win for gold ingots
Hed on four Saturdays, Feb 1, 8, 12 and 15, 2025, participants spending RM600 or more in a single receipt can grab gold ingots and other prizes. The top five participants with the highest grab totals in just 15 seconds will walk away with great prizes.
Spend and Play Fortune Giveaway
Running from Jan 1 to Feb 28, 2025, the Spend and Play Fortune Giveaway rewards both loyal Genting Rewards members and new sign-ups. Guests can participate by earning Genting Points (GP) through spending at non-gaming areas and redeeming vouchers to play the Touch & Win game.
Prosperity Path Challenge
Celebrate the Year of the Snake with the Prosperity Path Challenge, a modern twist on the classic childhood game “Snakes & Ladders” with prizes up for grabs.
Guests who spend RM288 (max two receipts) at participating outlets can participate in the “Snakes & Ladders” digital game to win prizes.
Ren Ri Charity ‘lou sang’
On Feb 4, 2025 Ren Ri (the 7th day of CNY) guests can join the charity ‘lou sang’ feast at 6,000ft above sea level for just RM88 per pair, where the proceeds go towards charity homes.
Entertainment extravaganza, photo opportunities
At Kimhua Atrium, guests can enjoy daily shows from Jan 10 to Feb 16, 2025. Highlights include meet-and-greet with Highland Heroes, lion dance, Chinese orchestra performances and Choy San Yeh and fairies dance show. Guests can explore the three immersive rooms for photo opportunities.
Madison Square in Genting Skyworlds Theme Park transforms into a vibrant carnival atmosphere with nightly performances, themed Chinese New Year shows, skill games and food stalls on Jan 28, 2025. CNY Prosperity Show
For the first five days of CNY from Jan 29 to Feb 2, 2025, the Arena of Stars comes alive with festive performances, including appearances by Choy San Yeh (God of Prosperity), fairy dance showcases and lion dance stunts.
CNY exclusive dining packages
Usher in the Year of Snake with pre and post CNY dinner packages, available from Jan 2 to March 31, 2025.
The Prosperity Package features an eight-course Oriental set dinner and five standard or deluxe rooms at First World Hotel starting at RM2,880 per table.
The Longevity Package which includes a delectable dinner and five Superior Deluxe rooms at Resorts World Awana starts at RM2,680 per table.
Genting SkyWorlds reimagined unlimited pass
In conjunction with the Diamond Jubilee, the Genting SkyWorlds Unlimited Pass has been revamped to give holders year-round unlimited access, flexibility and an enhanced experience for RM302, including unlimited visits.
CNY at Resorts World Awana
For a serene and closer to nature Chinese New Year celebration, Resorts World Awana offers an exciting blend of cultural activities, creative workshops and culinary delights.
Beginning Jan 2025, guests can immerse themselves in traditional Chinese culture with hands-on experiences, such as crafting and Chinese calligraphy.
The Tang Yuan Making Competition offers an opportunity for participants t showcase their culinary skills by creating traditional sweet glutinous rice balls for a chance to win exciting prizes. The competition will be held on the first two days of Chinese New Year.
To complement the festivities, Resorts World Awana offers festive dining packages for family reunions and gatherings. The pre-Chinese New Year package features an 8-course Chinese set dinner for ten and a one-night stay in five Superior Deluxe Rooms priced at RM2,680. For a standalone feast, the same 8-course dinner is available for RM1,688. For more intimate celebrations, the Reunion Hotpot Dinner Set is priced at RM688 for four to six people.
Extended cable car hours
The Genting Highlands Premium Outlets Cable Car (formerly Awana SkyWay), including Chin Swee Station will operate from 7am to 11pm daily from Jan 30 to Feb 6, 2025.
Special extended operating hours from 7am to 1am will be in effect on Jan 28 & 29 and Feb 2, 2025 for the Chin Swee Deity Birthday Celebration.
On Feb 5, 2025, the operating hours will be extended from 7am to 1:30am for the Bai Tian Gong prayer ceremony at Chin Swee Caves Temple.
The Genting Gohtong Jaya Cable Car (previously Genting SkyWay) will also operate daily from 9am to 11pm between Jan 29 to Feb 6, 2025.
