Rasa Kasih Aidilfitri indoor Ramadhan bazaar by Jati x MGB draws big crowds

The Rasa Kasih Aidilfitri indoor Ramadhan bazaar at Malaysia Grand Bazaar (MGB) in Bukit Bintang City Centre (BBCC), Kuala Lumpur drew in record crowds on the first day of its 16-day run, becoming a viral sensation on social media.

The 60-plus booths are now operating until April 24, 2022 from 10am to 10pm, selling a range of items such as food and beverage for buka puasa and for Raya, groceries, arts and crafts, Raya fashion for the family and appliances by local brands. 

Organised by Jati, Malaysia’s leading rice brand, in collaboration with Malaysia Grand Bazaar (MGB), the retro-themed bazaar also has lots of exciting activities, contests, giveaways, freebies, games and so many others under one roof while supporting Malaysian brands.

Visitors can also expect to be entertained with performances and partake in day-long activities such as workshops and games session, promising fun for all family members.

Big crowds thronged the retro-themed bazaar with 60-plus booths of Ramadhan and Raya essentials, contests, giveaways, freebies and activities.
Some of the celebrities who chose to do their Ramadhan and Raya shopping at Rasa Kasih Aidilfitri Ramadhan Bazaars were seen playing a mini-game named “Know your rice”.
Shoppers at the Rasa Kasih Aidilfitri indoor Ramadhan bazaar may also participate in several contests and activities to win attractive prizes.  

Social media was flooded with photos and videos of celebrities, influencers and regular Malaysians who choose to do their Ramadhan and Raya shopping at Rasa Kasih Aidilfitri Ramadhan Bazaar for the unique selection of products and services, and for the convenience and comfort of its centrally located indoor-setting that is protected from the sun.

Among the celebrities spotted shopping at the Rasa Kasih Aidilfitri Ramadhan Bazaar were Sazzy Falak, Bella Astillah, and Maryam and Ryzal Ibrahim of Durian Kimchi fame.

Shoppers from the Klang Valley, visitors from other states and even tourists took advantage of the retro-themed art and sparkling light installation for their social media content while patronising the booths.

Serba Wangi Sdn Bhd group senior manager Chua Keng Jin said Jati is taking the lead in Rasa Kasih Aidilfitri to support and promote Malaysian brands and businesses.

“Jati is encouraging domestic spending by shining a spotlight on local businesses while educating and raising awareness on the variety of quality Malaysian goods and services.

“After a pause in the nation’s economy since the pandemic began, consumers need to be reminded of the richness and quality of proudly Malaysian-made offerings,” he said.

Every visitor can receive a goodie bag with Jati Signature and ecoBrown’s product as well as vouchers by completing a treasure hunt of the booths in the bazaar. No purchase is required. There are also exclusive Raya green packet giveaways that every collector will want to get their hands on.

There are several contests with attractive prizes up for grabs at the bazaar. 

The Tangkap Gambar & Menang contest offers weekly prizes of a Khind intelligence cooker worth RM148, and Jati Signature Pusa Finest Basmathi Rice (2kg) worth RM25.50.  Contest participants are required to upload a photo of their best pose taken at the event on their social medias using the hashtags #JatiMalaysia #JatiRasaKasihAidilfitri and #JATIxMGB.

The Beli & Menang contest requires a purchase from ecoBrown’s, AirAsia Santan, Khind, CHJ Motors, Gracshaw, Hernan or selected food and beverage (F&B) booths to be in the running for prizes that include 3x branded motorcycles worth a total of RM13,000 and 10x branded motorcycle helmets worth a total of RM2,200.

The bazaar is air-conditioned making the booths cool and comfortable to shop. There are safety and security measures with strict standard operating procedures (SOPs) in place making shoppers welcome to the bazaar.

Parking is free at MGB for shoppers. The mall is close to public transportation located just a few minutes walking from BBCC-Hang Tuah LRT and monorail stations, so commuting is a breeze.
