Pickleball fever peaks with Paramount Cup 2025

Players compete for the Paramount Cup 2025 held from October 23 to 26, 2025 at Playa Racquet Club @ PARC Subang.

Paramount Property’s inaugural Paramount Cup 2025 brought four days of world-class pickleball at Playa Racquet Club @ PARC Subang, drawing over 700 players from across the globe.

The players competed across 17 categories, including singles, doubles and mixed doubles, and a record RM 112,500 prize pool.

The event, from October 23 to 26, 2025, marked a major milestone in Malaysia’s sporting calendar and celebrated the grand opening of the country’s first purpose-built pickleball hub.

The championship featured an all-star international line-up, including Vanshik Kapadia from India; Kyle Stoker, Nancy Riley and Josh Chia from Australia; Roman Estareja and Jas Almaguer from the United States; Hsieh Yu-Chieh (Asia’s No.6 female) from Taiwan; Thailand’s No.1 female player Tarie Caouette and Korea’s top-ranked female player Mihae Kwon.

Malaysia’s rising stars competed against the region’s best, proving that they can hold their own against world-class talent.

In the Open 19+ Men’s Singles, India’s Tejas Mahajan claimed the title after a thrilling final, while Malaysia’s Syabil Shaharudin and India’s Kuldip Ravindra secured first runner-up and second runner-up respectively.

The Open 19+ Men’s Doubles saw India’s Vanshik Kapadia and Tejas Mahajan take the gold, with the local duo Khoo Er Yang and Syabil Shaharudin finishing as first runner-up after a fiercely contested final.

In the Open 19+ Women’s Doubles, Taiwan’s Hsieh Yu-Chieh and Chang Maggie captured the crown, while Malaysia’s own Delia Arnold, national squash icon turned pickleballer, and Sieu Ee Toi secured third place.

The tournament’s inclusive spirit extended to the 45+ categories, where experience met precision on court.

In the Open 45+ Men’s Doubles, Indonesia’s Edy Kurniawan and Gusti Ngurah Putra Haribawa claimed the title, with Malaysia’s Keevan Raj and Azizul Azhar Ahmad finishing as first runner-up, and Malaysia’s Lim Ben Tah and Yap Cheng Xing securing third place.

The Open 45+ Mixed Doubles saw Gusti Ngurah Putra Haribawa (Indonesia) and Pini Lee (Singapore) delivered a commanding performance to capture gold, while Malaysia’s Danny Tan and Connie Chan fought hard for first runner-up, and the Malaysian pair of Jason Wong Sai Kong and Maggie Ng claimed third place.

The tournament reached its dramatic peak with the Open 19+ Mixed Doubles, where Taiwan’s Hsieh Yu-Chieh and India’s Vanshik Kapadia delivered a thrilling masterclass to lift the title.

Australia’s Nancy Riley and Taiwan’s Chen Ah Hsieh finished second, while the pair of Malaysia’s Colin Wong and the United States’ Jas Almaguer claimed third place.

Playa Racquet Club director Brian Choo said the energy at Paramount Cup 2025 was electric from start to finish.

“The Open categories showcased world-class pickleball right here on Malaysian soil, and our local players proved they belong on that stage.
