Homegrown lifestyle brand L.A.Y.A.R Style opened its concept store in Putra Nilai, Nilai on July 3, 2022.
The clothing store celebrated the grand opening with ribbon-cutting ceremony, fashion show, lion dance, singing and dance performances.
The fashion show featured more than 50 kids, teens and adult models dressed in stylish outfits from the brand’s LAYAR collections.
The grand launch was officiated by Nilai state assemblyman Arul Kumar, who is also the chairman of the state Human Resources, Plantation and Non-Muslim Affairs Action Committee.
LAYAR Style founder and owner Janice Ang said she started LAYAR where customers could shop and find styles that are comfortable and classy at affordable price.
“Our designs cater for all ages with new collections being introduced continuously based on latest trends to keep customers coming back to discover new styles.
“We also stock a variety of fashion accessories like hats, handbags, earrings, key chains, hair clips and hair bands to complement the buyer’s outfits,” she said.
Ang said the catchy brand LAYAR was creatively derived from the first letters of the names of her family members.
The concept store sells its own LAYAR-labelled trendy and stylish read-to-wear apparels for women, men and kids, as well as office wear, cotton t-shirts, modern Malay fashions and batik lifestyle brand Jadi Batek.
Ang said they will launch an online store soon to sell to prospective customers from anywhere who have access to the web, growing their customer base.
Since opening, the homegrown boutique is steadily establishing its presence in Nilai and is on its way to success with its popularity creating a LAYAR lifestyle brand that is appealing to today’s consumers.
