As part of a shared commitment to giving back to the community, Nestle Koko Krunch and Mydin Mohamed Holdings Berhad hosted a colouring contest at Mydin USJ on July 5, 2025, welcoming children from Rumah Amal Cahaya Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (RACTAR), a home for orphans and underprivileged girls.
Launched by Subang Jaya assemblyman Michelle Ng Mei Sze, the event was part of the “Kita Bawa Sarapan yang Bermakna” (We Bring Meaningful Breakfast) campaign to bring joy and creativity to families and communities through a focus on breakfast, art and giving back.

Nestle Koko Krunch is a chocolate-flavored breakfast cereal made with whole grains that aims to provide nutritional benefits for children’s growth and positive experiences.

Philip Joe, the business executive officer of Nestle Cereal Partners Worldwide (CPW) Malaysia & Singapore said, “At Nestle, we believe that a positive start to the day goes beyond breakfast – it’s also about reaching out to those around us.
“We were truly honoured to spend some quality time with the children of Rumah Amal Cahaya Tengku Ampuan Rahimah and are grateful for the opportunity to share a few moments of joy with them.
“We hope our small contribution brings some comfort and support to the home.
He added, “This initiative, in collaboration with Mydin, reflects our ongoing commitment to creating shared value and supporting the communities we serve.”

Through this campaign, RM10,000 was donated to RACTAR to support the children’s daily needs and welfare.
Additionally, a portion of proceeds from Nestle Breakfast Cereal purchases at Mydin outlets nationwide was pledged to support RACTAR.

Mydin managing director Datuk Wira Ameer Ali Mydin expressed pride in being a Malaysian retailer and joy in participating in a campaign to bring families and communities together in a meaningful way.
“This initiative is a reminder that small, thoughtful efforts can make a difference, especially when we work hand in hand to support those around us,” he said.
Following the morning’s activities with Rumah Amal Cahaya Tengku Ampuan Rahimah, the colouring contest was then opened to the public at Mydin USJ, which also featured interactive engagement zones, including games, sand art activities and product sampling booths.
The event is also part of the Koko Kraf Club Colouring Contest, ongoing at retail outlets across Malaysia, encouraging children to express their creativity through art.
