Nestle Ice Cream Malaysia spreads festive joy to over 2,000 underprivileged families

From L-R: Nestle Malaysia Bhd CEO Juan Aranols, Kuan Chee Heng and Nestle Ice Cream Malaysia business executive officer Teo Heng Keat spreading festive Raya cheer by distributing Nestle La Cremeria ice cream pints as part of the Raya Together-gether Bersama Nestle La Cremeria campaign.

Nestle Ice Cream Malaysia has partnered with social activist and philanthropist Kuan Chee Heng, better known as Uncle Kentang, to give out over 10,000 pints of its recently launched Nestle La Cremeria Chocolate Brownie Fudge & Butter Cookies ice cream to over 2,000 families, many are from B40 community.

Nestle said the distribution of the chocolate-flavoured ice cream and syrup with brownie and butter cookies was part of its Raya Together-gether Bersama Nestle La Cremeria campaign to share festive Raya cheer and make the celebrations a bit sweeter for less privileged communities.

“As many prepare for the festivities, we want to keep in mind those in need and give back to the community in the spirit of Raya.

“To this end, we are pleased to partner with Uncle Kentang and Empire Project to spread some moments of happiness with Nestle La Cremeria ice cream through this campaign.

“We know well of the little smiles that sharing a nice pint of great ice cream can bring. We hope our humble contribution will help to make Raya celebrations and gatherings brighter for those in need,” said Nestle Malaysia Bhd chief executive officer Juan Aranols.

Kuan said he appreciated the initiative by Nestle Ice Cream to share joy and generosity for the Raya festivities.

“Simple acts of kindness such as this can truly make a difference, showing the less fortunate that we are thinking of them, bringing communities together and giving them enjoyable ice cream moments.”

“We hope this will inspire others to also give back in whatever way they can during festive seasons to help those in need enjoy the celebrations as well.”
