NCT signs MoUs with Huawei and Green Quarter for Selangor Smart Industrial Park

NCT Smart Industrial Park gains traction with two additional MoUs inked with Hua Wei and Green Quarter to drive sustainability and productivity.

NCT Group has signed two Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) with two additional companies to provide a more agile and proactive business environment for its upcoming NCT Smart Industrial Park (NSIP) project in Selangor.

The two companies are Huawei Technologies (M) Sdn Bhd (Huawei) and Green Quarter Sdn Bhd (Green Quarter).

In a statement, the property developer said the MOUs will enable the company to leverage on the partners’ best practises and cutting-edge solutions.

“Digital technologies are taking the world by storm and have undoubtedly reshaped the way we do business. While we embrace the fourth industrial revolution (4IR) phenomenon to drive growth and productivity, we are also committed to promoting and enabling responsible business conduct through the integration of environmental, social and governance (ESG) elements.

“The collaborations will certainly enable us to attain our goal of providing a more agile and proactive business environment as we leverage on our partners’ best practices and cutting-edge solutions,” said NCT Group founder and managing director Dato Sri Yap Ngan Choy.

NCT’s MoU with Huawei will enable the global provider of ICT (information and communications technology) infrastructure and smart devices to provide ICT infrastructure products and solutions, data centre solutions and solar energy storage solutions to support NSIP in becoming a fully connected smart development.

In addition, Huawei will also look into providing value-added technology innovations developed and created by the company.

Huawei Malaysia digital power business vice president Chong Chern Peng said Huawei provided innovative solutions such as fast delivery, low PUE and centralised energy storage to create low-carbon data centres and to play its part in contributing to a greener world.

“Efforts are directed towards the development of building an open and win-win industrial ecosystem whilst promoting the sustainable development of the data centre industry,” he said.

Meanwhile, NCT said its MoU with Green Quarters is aimed at achieving a sustainable industrial park to reduce industrial and commercial carbon footprint, in compliance with local and international green building certification.

“We are confident NSIP’s strong ESG proposition coupled with our contribution to meet its sustainability goal will position NSIP in an environment to defend and grow,” said Green Quarters director Chin Yee Choong.
