NCT Alliance Berhad (NCT Alliance) donated RM50,000 to UTAR Education Foundation to benefit UTAR Hospital in Kampar, Perak, as part of its corporate social responsibility to the community.
A cheque was presented to Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) president and chief executive officer Ir. Professor Dato’ Dr. Ewe Hong Tat by NCT Alliance group executive director Dato’ Yap Fook Choy, and witnessed by Malaysian Chinese Association president Datuk Seri Ir. Dr. Wee Ka Siong.
The contribution is aimed at facilitating the upgrading of the hospitals’ facilities and equipment to continue providing Malaysians with quality and affordable medical and health services.
“As a responsible property developer, we aim to play our part in elevating Malaysians’ quality of life by ensuring access to quality healthcare services.
“The pandemic was a wake-up call to remind us of the importance of maintaining good health and well-being, and we hope our contribution will support UTAR Hospital in its aspirations to provide excellent care to the community,” said Dato’ Yap.
Prof Dato’ Dr Ewe said the not-for-profit UTAR Hospital is part of UTAR’s development and progress as a private institution providing affordable and quality medical services to the people.
“This contribution will benefit the community who require quality and affordable medical and health services in western, traditional and complementary medicines as well as train and educate medical students and carry out research to advance healthcare and medicine,” he said.
