In light of current economic challenges, Mydin Mohamed Holdings Berhad (Mydin) has launched the “Pilihan Raya Mydin 2025” campaign (Mydin Election Campaign 2025) at Mydin USJ on July 22, 2025.
This unique campaign themed “People’s Choice, People’s Price” offers Malaysians a wide range of rewards and exclusive discounts, featuring promotions such as “Janji PWP Ditepati,” and “Manifesto Ahli Meriah,” with total benefits worth RM6.8 million.
“What makes this campaign special is that Mydin customers can “vote” for their favourite brands in an election-style setting,” said Mydin managing director Datuk Wira Ameer Ali Mydin.
There will be a total of 26 “parliamentary seats” and 85 “state assembly seats” for Mydin customers to vote for their favourite brands via the Mydin Rewards app, where the brands that received the highest number of votes will earn the title YB (Yang Berharga), meaning “most valued”.
“The voting mechanism for this campaign is very simple.
“From July 24 to August 31, 2025, every purchase of one unit of a participating brand’s product at any Mydin outlet will count as one physical vote, while from September 1 to 16, 2025, customers can also cast their votes online via the Mydin Rewards app,” explained Ameer.
Mydin has introduced three key initiatives under the campaign:
- Ganjaran Rakyat
From Sept 1 to 16, 2025, customers who vote via the Mydin Rewards app stand a chance to receive over RM400,000 in vouchers and cashback.
- Cashback Rakyat
From July 25 to Oct 5, 2025, customers who shop via selected e-wallets including Atome, Boost, MCash, SPayLater, Shopback and Setel will enjoy discounts and cashback up to RM300,000 at all Mydin outlets.
- Rezeki Rakyat
Customers who vote for their preferred brands will also enjoy exclusive promotions and discounts worth up to RM1.68 million, including contests and “cash out” games via Mydin Pay.
The Mydin Election 2025 campaign runs from July 24 to Oct 8, 2025 at all Mydin outlets nationwide, including online platforms, with the official election results to be announced on Sept 18, 2025.
