In response to the recent floods that disrupted many livelihoods in affected areas, Malaysia Retail Chain Association (MRCA) and the MRCA Branding Education Charity Foundation have jointly initiated the “MRCA 2021 Flood Relief Fund” charity drive.
The campaign has successfully raised RM24,800 worth of donation in cash and goods.
The cash donations received were used to purchase essential goods including rice cookers and bath towels which were distributed to the floods victims as coordinated by Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI).
MRCA president Shirley Tay and MRCA Branding Education Charity Foundation chairman Datuk Lee Hwa Cheng handed over the donations to MITI AKI, Outreach & Shares division director Azmir Musyabri in a handover ceremony held on Jan 25, 2022.
Also present at the handover session were MRCA charity head Jordan Ng and representatives from two major sponsors, Grand Surf Sdn Bhd (Red Box Karaoke) general manager Dr. Giovann Ng and Malaysia Business Group (MBG) secretary Mark Law.
