Malaysia Retail Chain Association (MRCA), through its charity arm MRCA Branding Education Charity Foundation, recently brought Raya cheer to underprivileged children of Pusat Jagaan Haneen Firdous located at Klang with a donation worth RM10,000 comprising of cash, grocery items and electrical appliances.
In a statement, MRCA said it hopes that the donation will help to bring some education relief to the children of Pusat Jagaan Haneen Firdous to allow them to resume tuition classes which were cancelled since the Covid-19 crisis.
Pusat Jagaan Haneen Firdous is one of the community projects initiated by the Little Steps Charity Organisation founded by Dr Noraida Habibullah.
MRCA, led by its Branding Education Charity Foundation chairman Datuk Lee Hwa Cheng handed over the donation to Dr Noraida at the charity home.
Others in attendance at the mock cheque presentation ceremony were MRCA president council Datuk Seri Nelson Kwok, MRCA charity head Jordan Ng, MRCA vice president Dato’ Vincent Choo and MRCA deputy treasurer Aiveen Wong.
The statement added that part of the charitable contribution went to the Amal Muhajir Clinic, a non-profit charity clinic for refugees in Serdang, and also initiated by the Little Steps Charity offering medical care to vulnerable refugees.
