MPH Bookstores has officially opened its 10th outlet at the Alamanda Shopping Centre in Putrajaya on Nov 19, 2024.

The new store, covering 5,000 sq ft, features natural blond wood and bronze detailing, marking the new direction of MPH as an inspirational and modern destination to foster a love for literature and knowledge within the community.

Martin Cross, the chief executive officer of MPH Bookstores, stated during the launch event: “We were here before – in this very location, until the Covid-19 pandemic – and we are thrilled to be back, better and bolder, bringing the best books, educational toys and games, gifts and stationery to our fans here in Putrajaya and beyond.”

Cross added: “Our return and re-opening here marks the next step in the renewal and renaissance of MPH Bookstores and the continuation of its revival, heralded by the opening of our iconic flagship store at The Exchange TRX in May this year.

“With this increase in our brick-and-mortar retail footprint, we are gearing up to realise our vision to be – once more – Malaysia’s leading bookstore chain.”

The opening of the iconic bookstore brand’s latest retail outlet was officiated by Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek.

Also present at the event was Putrajaya Education Department director Ezaiddin Hussain.

Attendees at the event also included book enthusiasts, MPH MRewards members, local publishers and suppliers, the media, and pupils and teachers from Putrajaya’s 16 primary schools, all drawn by MPH’s dedication to curating a wide range of books, magazines, stationery and gift items that appeal to all types of customers.

The store carries books in a wide variety of categories like novels, fiction books, non-fiction books and children’s books.

It also offers a wide range of items to cater to diverse interests such as stationery products and office supplies, educational toys and games, and gifts and lifestyle products, including from the Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia.
