Mountain Village Restaurant is officially opening its door to the public in the SS2 commercial hub, Petaling Jaya on March 25, 2022.
People craving Nyonya cuisine or their favourite local delights do not need to travel to Malacca or Penang anymore as the new Nyonya cuisine restaurant serves excellent authentic Nyonya dishes as well as local favourites.
The kopitiam’s specialities include Nyonya Kahwin, combining spicy and sour from both curry laksa and asam laksa all at once that will tantalize the taste buds, and its 3-Layer Tea which comes in a vividly blue texture tea is made of butterfly pea flower, Gula Melaka and evaporated milk.
The restaurant is operated by a couple originally from Malacca. The owner and head chef of the restaurant grew up in Malacca and has been working as a chef who specializes in Nyonya cuisine for more than ten years since 2011.
“I grew up in Malacca and have enjoyed Nyonya dishes since I was young. However, I found out that Nyonya dishes are getting pricier for the community. Hence, my wife and I decided to deliver our love of Nyonya culture to people in Klang Valley with delicious local delights at reasonable prices,” said Mountain Village restaurant owner and chef Sebastian.
Mountain Village restaurant will not only offer Nyonya dishes but also a variety of tempting and savoury local delights at very affordable price.
Customers can enjoy meals at prices from as low as RM 1.50 and drinks at only RM 1.30 here. There is a huge variety of meals to choose from such as nasi lemak, nyonya mee siam, nyonya mee pedas, penang kuey teow and claypot yee mee.
