Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional Sdn Bhd (Modenas), a subsidiary of DRB-Hicom Berhad has launched the Modenas Ninja 500 and Modenas Ninja 500 SE for the Malaysian market.
These new models mark the latest additions to Modenas’ expanding lineup, offering an exhilarating yet accessible riding experience for both new and seasoned riders.
Designed for the lightweight sport segment, the Ninja 500 features a 500cc parallel-twin engine, a lightweight 250cc-based chassis, and a rider-friendly ergonomics.
Key highlights of the Ninja 500 include a newly designed 500cc parallel-twin engine for smooth and responsive power delivery, lightweight chassis inspired by Kawasaki’s 250cc platform for enhanced handling, LED headlights for improved visibility and modern styling; and smartphone connectivity for seamless access to essential ride data.
The Ninja 500 is available in Black and is priced at RM28,100 (without insurance and roadtax).
For riders seeking more advanced features, the Ninja 500 SE offers enhanced technology, added convenience and an upgraded riding experience.
Additional features of the SE variant include USB Type-C outlet for on-the-go device charging during long rides, KIPASS (Kawasaki’s Intelligent Proximity Activation Start System) for keyless ignition convenience and a full-colour TFT display with thin-film transistor (TFT) technology for high visibility in various lighting conditions.
The Ninja 500 SE is available in Lime Green and Black/Red, with a recommended retail price of RM30,100 (without insurance and road tax).
With the launch of these new models, Modenas continues to strengthen its presence in Malaysia’s sportbike market.
