Miss Malaysia Kebaya (MMK) organization has announced a 10-day Malaysia Carnival Virtual to take place from 8.30am to 10.30pm daily, starting August 6 to 15, 2021.
Malaysia’s very first virtual carnival is the brainchild of the Miss Malaysia Kebaya organization spearheaded by its founder and president Dr Jason Hee Jee Pin and business partner Nicole Fe Lynne.
Malaysia Carnival will offer virtual experiences for visitors with numerous programs streaming from stages, exhibitor booths and other contents, all while staying safe at home during the Covid-19 pandemic.
“The whole project is intended to drive the nation to support local businesses which have been hard hit during these challenging times, especially our local brands and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
“Despite the current situation, we must go on and remain positive, and work towards being creative and dynamic to overcome all challenges,” Hee said at the virtual press conference to officially announce and promote the virtual event via Zoom on August 2, 2021.
The virtual experience is expected to draw visitors across the country.
The event will be hosted at MalaysiaCarnival.com. Admission to the carnival is free.
“We are fortunate to be able to develop and present this unique MalaysiaCarnival Virtual event with the sophisticated technological support from our main sponsors Virtualtech Frontier and Recur Consult,” added Hee.
Hee commended the teams from Virtualtech Frontier and Recur Consult for having taken two months of hard work, from conceptualization, design, development to testing, to create the high tech 2.5 dimensional virtual platform that will host the Malaysia Carnival.
“Over the past year, the Covid-19 crisis has brought about many challenges for the tourism industry. Therefore, through this initiative, we hope to bring Malaysians together to enjoy a fun virtual experience while immersing in the local culture.
“Our focus is on delivering virtual expos and virtual events via enhanced 3D and 2D visualization technology and creative gamification methodology,” said Virtualtech Frontier CEO Jason Low.
A representative from Recur Consult presented a walk-through of actual features to be expected at the Malaysia Carnival Virtual event platform.
