Miss UniWorld has unveiled a new crown for the Miss UniWorld 2023 pageant in a press conference at The Starhill, Kuala Lumpur on May 29.
The glittering “Queen of Kilimanjaro” crown, which is valued at USD 400,000, is crafted by jeweller Amee Philips, the official jewellery partner for Miss UniWorld Pageant 2023.
The dazzling tiara featuring genuine diamonds and gemstones is set to position Miss UniWorld as one of the most glamorous international pageants, reflecting its aspiration to uphold the highest standards of excellence in the industry.
In her speech, Miss UniWorld pageant founder Dato’ Reiss Tiara said the unveiling of the new Miss UniWorld crown was a momentous occasion to celebrate the growth and achievement of their beloved event.
“We aim to spread friendship, love and understanding across borders, promote networking and tourism, and support local charities and global causes.
“It is through these values that we endeavour to create a lasting impact and empower our contestants to make a difference in the world,” she said.
Miss UniWorld 2023 chief executive officer Roslan Rosdi said the winner of Miss UniWorld will receive a replica of the official crown to keep as a cherished memento, making the pageant a unique event in the pageantry world.
“I would like to think we are the only pageant in the world to craft a replica for our winners,” he said.
The Miss UniWorld 2023 pageant is expected to host contestants from 30 countries, including Georgia, Ukraine, Turkey, China, Spain, Philippines, Sweden, Germany, Latvia, Japan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, South Korea and Malaysia.
The beauty queens will arrive in Malaysia on June 4 to participate in a series of engaging activities leading up to the grand finale at JW Marriot Hotel Kuala Lumpur on June 11.
The talent portion of the pageant in collaboration with KL Tower will take place on June 8.
Contestants will compete in getting cash, prizes and gifts with a total value of USD 100,000.
“Our commitment to ‘Beauty with Heart’ will be demonstrated through two charity activities, one in collaboration with the National Autism Society at KL Tower and another at Tasputra Perkim,” Roslan added.
